Unification school for Refuge Pnan
'God is our mighty fortress, always ready to help in times of trouble' (Psalm 46:1). With this scripture, founded by a Christian voluntary service organization 'Refuge Pnan', which supports refugees, seeks to prepare for the unification of Korea and building of a loving community. Jayoutuh is a community to preparing unification with Jesus' love and disciples.
The place of learning the truth
Jayoutuh lives the scripture of John 8:32("you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.") preaching that man finds his purpose in God and teaching the ideological and political freedom that will exist within a united Korea.
School of healing and recovery
Jayoutuh functions not only as a school but as a family by providing education curriculums and other programs (culture experience, Sharehouse) we seek to support North Korean refugee's lives in South Korea and to help them rise as blessed and proud citizens, who can serve as homes for the future citizens of the unified Korea.
Practice of Unification
Christian volunteers can meet North Koreans through Jayoutuh and can prepare Korean unification with praying and understanding. Jayoutuh may become the ideal model of the 'national night school' for Koreans' unification.

Truth
Recognizing God and believing in the value of all humanity, which was formed in God's own image.
Freedom
Freedom is liberty from sin and death, class discrimination, prejudice, inferiority, broken families, traumatic memories from the past and damaged identities.
Love
The relationships between God and nature, God and man, man and nature, and man and man show us how to live our lives.
Ideology of PNAN Refuge
Understanding others' suffering through one's own suffering, praying and striving to provide a refuge that can encourage those who are suffering.
ì¤äñêÓéÒ (Ih Eh Wee Ooh-Loving your neighbor as a friend)
"Greater love has no one than this that he lay down his life for his friends." (John 15:13) Jayoutuh's instructors approach their students from the position of a friend, not a superior, regardless of how much they have had to sacrifice. Former North Korean defectors, who have left their loved ones in North Korea, need 'friends' who are willing to share their lives in love and help them build a secure life. At Jayoutuh School, before we are teachers, we are friends.
Self-motivation and Self Sacrifice
Former North Korean defector students study and actively participate at Jayoutuh School without any pressure from our institution. All of our programs are also run by volunteers who commit their time and efforts to serve our students. The reason we do not force our students to attend class is to build their independence, self-motivation, and responsibility.
